Saipau is a small village of 1014 hectares in Sepau Tehsil in Dholpur district, also known as the land of red stone in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Saipau depends on DHAULPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Saipau is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Saipau's pin code is 328027[3], and village code is 01140100. The area of Saipau is segregated as 586 hectares irrigated area, 241 hectares unirrigated, the 58 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 129 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Saipau has One post office (Saipau S.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Saipau has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Saipau is a census village in the district of Dholpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 10716 and has total administration over 1808 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 1972 (18.40%) males constitute 1069 (9.98%) of the population and females 903 (8.43%).

According to a census 2011 report, 4014 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 2910 male, 1104 female with 2905 (72.37%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 2490 males and 415 females. 1037 males and 242 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 233 male and 23 female agricultural labor. 1109 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of DHAULPUR and Dholpur to sell earthen pots and make their living.
