Sakarwat is a small village of 152 hectares in Banswara Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sakarwat depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Sakarwat is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sakarwat's pin code is 327001[4], and village code is 03454700. The area of Sakarwat is segregated as 38 hectares irrigated area, 46 hectares unirrigated, the 30 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sakarwat has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sakarwat is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 766 and has total administration over 154 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sakarwat has 156 children, 72 boys and 84 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 765 (99.87%) males constitute 375 (48.96%) of the population and females 390 (50.91%).

The workforce is 170 male, 168 female with 329 (97.34%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 167 males and 162 females. 164 males and 161 females are considered as the main cultivators. 9 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
