Saladiya is a small village of 83 hectares in Ghatol Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Saladiya depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Saladiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Saladiya's pin code is 327023[4], and village code is 03380800. The area of Saladiya is segregated as 27 hectares irrigated area, 18.8 hectares unirrigated, the 36 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Saladiya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Saladiya is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 332 and has total administration over 78 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Saladiya has 42 children, 23 boys and 19 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 92 (27.71%) males constitute 44 (13.25%) of the population and females 48 (14.46%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 221 (66.57%) males constitute 123 (37.05%) of the population and females 98 (29.52%).

The workforce is 100 male, 102 female with 173 (85.64%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 89 males and 84 females. 84 males and 75 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 29 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell juggary and make their living.
