Salotya is a small village of 581 hectares in Jhalrapatan Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Salotya depends on Jhalawar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 50.15% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and One spring. Salotya is also near by One lake. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Salotya's pin code is 326001[4], and village code is 03998100. The area of Salotya is segregated as 135.35 hectares irrigated area, 5.6 hectares unirrigated, the 9.87 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 98.27 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Salotya has One public telephone. Salotya has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Salotya is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1133 and has total administration over 232 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Salotya has 141 children, 78 boys and 63 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 545 (48.10%) males constitute 283 (24.98%) of the population and females 262 (23.12%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 28 (2.47%) males constitute 15 (1.32%) of the population and females 13 (1.15%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jhalawar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
