Samri is a small village of 406 hectares in Chittaurgarh Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Samri depends on Chittaurgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Samri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Samri's pin code is 312612[4], and village code is 03612100. The area of Samri is segregated as 130.16 hectares irrigated area, 96.2 hectares unirrigated, the 127.4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 52.37 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Samri is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 864 and has total administration over 178 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 133 (15.39%) males constitute 74 (8.56%) of the population and females 59 (6.83%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chittaurgarh and Chittorgarh to sell ghee and make their living.
