Sanga is a small village of 135 hectares in Banswara Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sanga depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 22.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sanga is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Sanga's pin code is 327604[4], and village code is 03448900. The area of Sanga is segregated as 31 hectares irrigated area, 78 hectares unirrigated, the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 21 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sanga has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sanga is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1084 and has total administration over 249 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sanga has 212 children, 106 boys and 106 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 4 (0.37%) males constitute 1 (0.09%) of the population and females 3 (0.28%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1075 (99.17%) males constitute 540 (49.82%) of the population and females 535 (49.35%).

Employment[edit]

According to a census 2011 report, 542 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 275 male, 267 female with 368 (67.9%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 225 males and 143 females. 199 males and 134 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 8 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 174 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell bricks and make their living.
