Sangtera is a small village of 585 hectares in Kotputli Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sangtera depends on Kotputli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sangtera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sangtera's pin code is 303108[4], and village code is 01448000. The area of Sangtera is segregated as 284 hectares irrigated area, 220 hectares unirrigated, the 44 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 37 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Sangtera has One post office (Sangteda B.O) and Ten public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sangtera has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sangtera is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2818 and has total administration over 493 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Sangtera has 320 children, 176 boys and 144 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 482 (17.10%) males constitute 240 (8.52%) of the population and females 242 (8.59%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 183 (6.49%) males constitute 103 (3.66%) of the population and females 80 (2.84%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1166 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 735 male, 431 female with 739 (63.38%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 578 males and 161 females. 293 males and 99 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 47 male and 28 female agricultural labor. 427 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kotputli and Jaipur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
