Sankotra is a small village of 1283 hectares in Jamwa Ramgarh Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sankotra depends on Dausa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sankotra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sankotra's pin code is 303001[4], and village code is 01593600. The area of Sankotra is segregated as 276 hectares irrigated area, 270 hectares unirrigated, the 303 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 167 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sankotra has One post office (Sankotra B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Sankotra has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Sankotra is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2228 and has total administration over 404 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 159 (7.14%) males constitute 89 (3.99%) of the population and females 70 (3.14%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dausa and Jaipur to sell ghee and make their living.
