Sanwa is a small village of 98 hectares in Masuda Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sanwa depends on Beawar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sanwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sanwa's pin code is 305925[4], and village code is 02522800. The area of Sanwa is segregated as 16.05 hectares irrigated area, 32.1 hectares unirrigated, the 12.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 37.85 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sanwa has Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sanwa has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Sanwa is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 671 and has total administration over 144 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sanwa has 114 children, 47 boys and 67 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 184 (27.42%) males constitute 91 (13.56%) of the population and females 93 (13.86%).

The workforce is 133 male, 15 female with 44 (29.73%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 42 males and 2 females. 10 males and 1 females are considered as the main cultivators. 104 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Beawar and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
