Sarada is a small village of 678 hectares in Sarada Tehsil in Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sarada depends on Salumbar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 21.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sarada is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sarada's pin code is 313902[4], and village code is 03257200. The area of Sarada is segregated as 72 hectares irrigated area, 89 hectares unirrigated, the 283 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 234.24 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sarada has One post office (Sarara S.O) and Twenty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sarada has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Sarada is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 231209 and has total administration over 47845 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sarada has 38934 children, 20237 boys and 18697 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 10021 (4.33%) males constitute 5163 (2.23%) of the population and females 4858 (2.10%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 147157 (63.65%) males constitute 74828 (32.36%) of the population and females 72329 (31.28%).

The workforce is 60467 male, 38035 female with 42457 (43.1%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 33780 males and 8677 females. 15055 males and 2888 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3005 male and 2027 female agricultural labor. 56045 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Salumbar and Udaipur to sell iron item and make their living.
