Sarpota is a small village of 165 hectares in Kushalgarh Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sarpota depends on Kushalgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Sarpota is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sarpota's pin code is 327801[4], and village code is 03519700. The area of Sarpota is segregated as 11 hectares irrigated area, 76 hectares unirrigated, the 42 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sarpota has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sarpota is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 524 and has total administration over 110 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sarpota has 97 children, 49 boys and 48 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 524 (100.0%) males constitute 256 (48.85%) of the population and females 268 (51.15%).

The workforce is 137 male, 141 female with 263 (94.6%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 131 males and 132 females. 131 males and 128 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 female agricultural labor. 15 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kushalgarh and Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
