Sarwar is a small village of 737 hectares in Kishangarh Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sarwar depends on Kishangarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 44.02% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sarwar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sarwar's pin code is 305801[4], and village code is 02500100. The area of Sarwar is segregated as 44.02 hectares irrigated area, 369.05 hectares unirrigated, the 163.02 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 161.01 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sarwar has One post office (Jheerota B.O) and Three public telephones. Sarwar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Sarwar is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1248 and has total administration over 246 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sarwar has 175 children, 92 boys and 83 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 235 (18.83%) males constitute 118 (9.46%) of the population and females 117 (9.38%).

The workforce is 368 male, 335 female with 432 (61.45%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 325 males and 107 females. 190 males and 63 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 34 male and 14 female agricultural labor. 271 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kishangarh and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
