Sarwari is a small village of 3208 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sarwari depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Sarwari is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sarwari's pin code is 344043[4], and village code is 02148800. The area of Sarwari is segregated as 2848.13 hectares unirrigated, the 262.26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 97.72 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sarwari has One post office (Khandap B.O) and Forty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sarwari has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sarwari is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3967 and has total administration over 768 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sarwari has 801 children, 430 boys and 371 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1069 (26.95%) males constitute 565 (14.24%) of the population and females 504 (12.70%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 50 (1.26%) males constitute 27 (0.68%) of the population and females 23 (0.58%).

Employment[edit]

The workforce is 994 male, 649 female with 532 (32.38%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 393 males and 139 females. 195 males and 125 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 32 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 1111 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
