Sathana is a small village of 1943 hectares in Bhinay Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sathana depends on Vijainagar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 158.10% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sathana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sathana's pin code is 305624[4], and village code is 02548000. The area of Sathana is segregated as 158.1 hectares irrigated area, 1116.2 hectares unirrigated, the 264.05 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 307.15 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Sathana has One post office (Sathana B.O) and Forty One public telephones. Sathana has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Sathana is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4011 and has total administration over 769 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Sathana has 649 children, 360 boys and 289 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 676 (16.85%) males constitute 341 (8.50%) of the population and females 335 (8.35%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 387 (9.65%) males constitute 199 (4.96%) of the population and females 188 (4.69%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1986 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1130 male, 856 female with 1449 (72.96%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 953 males and 496 females. 183 males and 115 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 353 male and 290 female agricultural labor. 537 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Vijainagar and Ajmer to sell earthen pot and make their living.
