Satwas is a small village of 385 hectares in Kaman Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Satwas depends on Kaman, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Satwas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Satwas's pin code is 321023[4], and village code is 00971000. The area of Satwas is segregated as 281 hectares irrigated area, 66 hectares unirrigated, the 6 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 32 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Satwas has One post office (Satwas B.O) and One public telephone. Satwas has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Satwas is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2208 and has total administration over 377 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 255 (11.55%) males constitute 139 (6.30%) of the population and females 116 (5.25%).

The workforce is 553 male, 529 female with 762 (70.43%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 509 males and 253 females. 375 males and 194 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 95 male and 48 female agricultural labor. 320 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kaman and Bharatpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
