    Satyajit Bhattacharya LVO MB MS MPhil FRCS (born 22 November 1962) is a British surgeon, specialising in surgery of the liver, pancreas and Gallbladder (Hepato-pancreato-biliary or HPB surgery). He is the Serjeant Surgeon to the Royal Household [1], and was appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order in the 2018 Birthday Honours list[2] [3]. He is a Consultant surgeon at The London Clinic [4] and at King Edward VII's Hospital|King Edward VII’s Hospital [5] and is also the Medical Director of The London Clinic[6]. He was a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals from 1999 to 2020 and is Honorary Reader at the Barts Cancer Institute [7]. Bhattacharya grew up and qualified as a doctor in Mumbai, India, and completed his postgraduate surgical training in London. As consultant surgeon at the Royal London Hospital, Bhattacharya helped set up a tertiary HPB referral service and served as its Clinical Lead for 17 years[8].
