Sawar is a small village of 3245 hectares in Kekri Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sawar depends on Deoli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 458.15% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sawar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sawar's pin code is 305407[4], and village code is 02586800. The area of Sawar is segregated as 609.33 hectares irrigated area, 997.1 hectares unirrigated, the 970.4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 422.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Sawar has One post office (Kunwar Ji Ka Kalera B.O) and Four Hundred Seventy Nine public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sawar has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sawar is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 10705 and has total administration over 2190 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Sawar has 1471 children, 757 boys and 714 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 2129 (19.89%) males constitute 1067 (9.97%) of the population and females 1062 (9.92%).

According to a census 2011 report, 4092 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 2629 male, 1463 female with 3368 (82.31%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 2372 males and 996 females. 484 males and 337 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 248 male and 265 female agricultural labor. 724 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Deoli and Ajmer to sell woolan blanket and make their living.
