Sayla is a small village of 4825 hectares in Sayla Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sayla depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 930.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Sayla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sayla's pin code is 343022[4], and village code is 02276100. The area of Sayla is segregated as 2067 hectares irrigated area, 96 hectares unirrigated, the 1721 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 923 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sayla has One post office (Sayla S.O (Jalor)) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sayla has One bank, One credit society and Two agricultural credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sayla is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 176682 and has total administration over 29097 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sayla has 32715 children, 17228 boys and 15487 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 36053 (20.41%) males constitute 18676 (10.57%) of the population and females 17377 (9.84%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 10756 (6.09%) males constitute 5672 (3.21%) of the population and females 5084 (2.88%).

The workforce is 48461 male, 41161 female with 62693 (69.95%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 41131 males and 21562 females. 27557 males and 16685 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3995 male and 3060 female agricultural labor. 26929 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
