American citizens of Serb ethnic background are known as Serbian Americans. Approximately 190,000 American citizens identify as having Serb ancestry as of the year 2013. Because there were an additional 290,000 persons who classified themselves as Yugoslavs residing in the United States, the figure might be substantially greater than that.
Serbian Americans who have lived in the United States for one or more generations, dual Serbian–American citizens, and any other Serbian Americans who believe themselves to be associated with both cultures or nations are included in this category.
