Sewa is a small village of 1597 hectares in Didwana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sewa depends on Didwana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sewa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Sewa's pin code is 341303[4], and village code is 01771100. The area of Sewa is segregated as 1472.08 hectares unirrigated, remaining 124.79 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sewa has One post office (Didwana H.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Sewa has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Sewa is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2266 and has total administration over 372 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sewa has 289 children, 175 boys and 114 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 322 (14.21%) males constitute 163 (7.19%) of the population and females 159 (7.02%).

The workforce is 578 male, 194 female with 353 (45.73%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 312 males and 41 females. 114 males and 15 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 26 male and 15 female agricultural labor. 419 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Didwana and Nagaur to sell earthen pots and make their living.
