Shahpura is a small village of 1669 hectares in Sikar Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Shahpura depends on Losal, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 284.15% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Shahpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Shahpura's pin code is 332028[4], and village code is 01695400. The area of Shahpura is segregated as 284.15 hectares irrigated area, 839.26 hectares unirrigated, the 477.16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 68.08 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Shahpura has One post office (Shahpura B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Shahpura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Shahpura is a census village in the district of Sikar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3218 and has total administration over 547 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Shahpura has 504 children, 275 boys and 229 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 950 (29.52%) males constitute 483 (15.01%) of the population and females 467 (14.51%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 162 (5.03%) males constitute 86 (2.67%) of the population and females 76 (2.36%).

The workforce is 766 male, 887 female with 994 (60.13%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 677 males and 317 females. 354 males and 277 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 47 male and 18 female agricultural labor. 659 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Losal and Sikar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
