Shaitan Singh Nagar is a small village of 4225 hectares in Phalodi Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Shaitan Singh Nagar depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Shaitan Singh Nagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Shaitan Singh Nagar's pin code is 342308[4], and village code is 01922300. The workforce is 972 male, 832 female with 1001 (55.49%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 782 males and 219 females. 581 males and 193 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 22 male and 16 female agricultural labor. 803 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phalodi and Jodhpur to sell wood furniture and make their living.
