Shergarh is a small village of 138 hectares in Bagidora Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Shergarh depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Shergarh is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Shergarh's pin code is 327601[4], and village code is 03478200. The area of Shergarh is segregated as 22.35 hectares irrigated area, 55 hectares unirrigated, remaining 32.19 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Shergarh has One post office (Shergarh B.O) and Forty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Shergarh has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Shergarh is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1399 and has total administration over 284 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Shergarh has 202 children, 109 boys and 93 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 509 (36.38%) males constitute 271 (19.37%) of the population and females 238 (17.01%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 373 (26.66%) males constitute 186 (13.30%) of the population and females 187 (13.37%).

The workforce is 360 male, 293 female with 585 (89.59%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 348 males and 237 females. 133 males and 131 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 female agricultural labor. 68 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
