Sherpura is a small village of 787 hectares in Nawa Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sherpura depends on Nawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 10.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sherpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Sherpura's pin code is 341509[4], and village code is 01905700. The area of Sherpura is segregated as 10 hectares irrigated area, 708 hectares unirrigated, the 40.39 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 29 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sherpura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sherpura is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 381 and has total administration over 53 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sherpura has 49 children, 24 boys and 25 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 7 (1.84%) males constitute 6 (1.57%) of the population and females 1 (0.26%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 35 (9.19%) males constitute 14 (3.67%) of the population and females 21 (5.51%).

The workforce is 76 male, 67 female with 79 (55.24%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 57 males and 22 females. 37 males and 19 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 5 males. 64 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nawa and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
