Shimla is a small village of 1053 hectares in Ladnu Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Shimla depends on Ladnu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Shimla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Shimla's pin code is 341022[4], and village code is 01765600. The area of Shimla is segregated as 869.65 hectares unirrigated, the 34.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 149.08 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Shimla has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Shimla has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Shimla is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1014 and has total administration over 186 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Shimla has 136 children, 82 boys and 54 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 247 (24.36%) males constitute 131 (12.92%) of the population and females 116 (11.44%).

The workforce is 299 male, 271 female with 556 (97.54%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 291 males and 265 females. 203 males and 246 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 54 male and 8 female agricultural labor. 14 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Ladnu and Nagaur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
