Sid Kohli (born 6 June 1992) is a sports broadcaster and television producer who has presented coverage of the Premier League for Star Sports and Test cricket for ESPNCricinfo.[1] [2] [3]
Kohli graduated with a Master's degree from Loughborough University[4] [5] and holds a NCTJ Diploma in Journalism. In 2020, he graduated with a Certificate in Football Management (CFM) issued by UEFA Academy and the University of Lausanne. [6]
Kohli first presented live sports on television aged 21, co-anchoring the coverage of the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup on Star Sports. In 2015, he joined NDTV.[7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] This was followed by positions at BT Sport and CNN International in London[14], as well as BBC Sport in Manchester. He wrote for Sky Sports[15] [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] [21] [22] [23] [24] [25] [26] [27] [28] [29] [30] [31] and presented cricket coverage for ESPNCricinfo in 2018. [32] [33]
Kohli has had exclusive interviews with former Premier League and Manchester United footballers Ryan Giggs and Robin Van Persie[34] [35] and also interviewed former Oasis songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Noel Gallagher, as well as International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach[36] and former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly. He was also the host of KPMG's Sports Analytics World Series in London, Amsterdam and Mumbai[38] and was regularly-featured as a moderator for SportsPro and Eleven Sports. [39] [40] [41] [42]
In 2021, he was elected onto the Board of the UEFA Academy Alumni Association, serving as Secretary-General.[43] He went on to work on the BBC's coverage of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics [44] and covered Super Bowl LVII[45] from Arizona for Decyfr Sport[46], a venture he founded and where he currently serves as Chief executive officer.[47] [48] [49] [50] [51]
