Sitapur is a small village of 284 hectares in Viratnagar Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sitapur depends on Shahpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 152.15% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sitapur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sitapur's pin code is 303119[4], and village code is 01460200. The area of Sitapur is segregated as 152.15 hectares irrigated area, 54.79 hectares unirrigated, the 65.47 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 11.13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sitapur has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sitapur is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1159 and has total administration over 167 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sitapur has 209 children, 111 boys and 98 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 23 (1.98%) males constitute 9 (0.78%) of the population and females 14 (1.21%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 14 (1.21%) males constitute 7 (0.60%) of the population and females 7 (0.60%).

The workforce is 263 male, 210 female with 318 (67.23%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 252 males and 66 females. 218 males and 64 females are considered as the main cultivators. 155 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shahpura and Jaipur to sell ghee and make their living.
