Skateboarding

Originally from the United States, skateboarding is a sort of action sport that includes riding and doing tricks on a skateboard. It is also a leisure activity, an art form, a career in the entertainment business, and a mode of mobility. Numerous skateboarders have moulded and affected the sport of skateboarding over the course of decades. According to a 2009 research, the global skateboarding industry is predicted to be worth $4.8 billion in yearly sales, with 11.08 million active skateboarders throughout the globe in 2009. In 2016, it was confirmed that skateboarding will be featured in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, with teams consisting of both male and female skaters competing.

The construction of skateparks for the use of skateboarders, freestyle BMX riders, aggressive skaters, and more recently scooter riders has been a tradition dating back to the 1970s. Skateboarding, on the other hand, has been problematic in locations where the sport, albeit prohibited, has resulted in damage to curbs, masonry, stairs, benches, plazas, and parks, among other things.
