Sodala is a small village of 336 hectares in Baswa Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sodala depends on Bandikui, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 278.78% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sodala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sodala's pin code is 303313[4], and village code is 01353300. The area of Sodala is segregated as 278.78 hectares irrigated area, 41.6 hectares unirrigated, the 2.33 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 12.84 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sodala has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Sodala is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1900 and has total administration over 325 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sodala has 239 children, 133 boys and 106 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 154 (8.11%) males constitute 82 (4.32%) of the population and females 72 (3.79%).

The workforce is 502 male, 486 female with 793 (80.26%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 466 males and 327 females. 390 males and 295 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 195 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bandikui and Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
