Early life and education[edit]

Saint was born on November 20, 1992, in Cocorite, Trinidad and Tobago, to Anthony and Monica Marshall. Her father is a Seventh-day Adventist pastor, and her mother is a 1st Elder.[4]

Saint's musical journey began at the age of two, when she started singing in church.[5] She was frequently called upon to perform for dignitaries such as the Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister and even landed a lead role in her school's production of "Fiddler on the Roof." After completing beauty school in the United States, her unique style and sound, heavily influenced by her upbringing on a relatively isolated island in the West Indies, began to take shape in her music. From a young age, Saint harbored dreams of becoming a global superstar, inspired by the likes of music icons such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Prince.[6]

The song "Why" from Nightmare went Gold, and the album also made her receive a Spotify plaque in 2021.[9]

In 2020, Saint’s single "K.I.D." was featured on premier radio stations such as iHeartRadio's Power 105.1 FM in NYC and 103.5 FM The Beat in Miami. In June 2021, she was featured on the Global TV series "Love 2 the World," which premiered on Vimeo, Roku TV, and Netflix. In the same year, she was interviewed by the late legendary DJ Kay Slay on Shade 45 Sirius/XM Radio.[10]
