Sonera is a small village of 248 hectares in Kumher Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sonera depends on Nadbai, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sonera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sonera's pin code is 321602[4], and village code is 01031900. The area of Sonera is segregated as 108.05 hectares irrigated area, 131.3 hectares unirrigated, remaining 8.33 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sonera has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sonera is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 959 and has total administration over 153 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sonera has 159 children, 75 boys and 84 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 186 (19.40%) males constitute 103 (10.74%) of the population and females 83 (8.65%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 15 (1.56%) males constitute 9 (0.94%) of the population and females 6 (0.63%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nadbai and Bharatpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
