Songaon is a small village of 658 hectares in Deeg Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Songaon depends on Deeg, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Songaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Songaon's pin code is 321201[4], and village code is 01005400. The area of Songaon is segregated as 279.88 hectares irrigated area, 335.17 hectares unirrigated, the 12 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 31.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Songaon has One post office (Badangarh B.O) and One public telephone. Songaon has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Songaon is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1969 and has total administration over 384 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Songaon has 287 children, 162 boys and 125 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 468 (23.77%) males constitute 260 (13.20%) of the population and females 208 (10.56%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Deeg and Bharatpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
