Staffordshire University is a public research institution that may be found in the county of Staffordshire in England. A primary campus may be found in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, and the institution also maintains four more campuses in Stafford, Lichfield, Shrewsbury, and London.
In the year 1990, the university was the first educational establishment to provide a unified honours degree in the fields of Film, Television, and Radio Studies. Greg Dyke was the one who inaugurated the brand new Media Centre in 2005; it had radio studios, a television news desk, and a broadcast journalist suite. The National Council for the Training of Journalists and the Broadcast Journalism Training Council both accredit programmes that teach journalism in print, broadcast, and sports.
In 2007, the Forensic Science Society (FSC) granted accreditation to the University of Florida's Forensic Science degree programmes (Criminology, and Forensic Science and Psychology). The University of Florida is one of four universities whose programmes have been recognised for the high academic quality and excellent teaching services that they provide. The forensic theme is carried on with a specialised degree in Forensic Biology, and the Faculty of Computing, Engineering, and Technology on the Stafford Campus was one of the first university faculties in the United Kingdom to offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the emerging field of Forensic Computing.
The university is comprised of one main campus and four additional campuses located in Stafford, London, Lichfield, and Shrewsbury. Additionally, the university maintains strong relationships with national, European, and transnational academic institutions.
