Sukher is a small village of 522 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sukher depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sukher is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sukher's pin code is 313011[4], and village code is 03148800. The area of Sukher is segregated as 57 hectares irrigated area, 109 hectares unirrigated, the 242 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 114.35 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sukher has One post office and One Hundred Twenty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sukher has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sukher is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2364 and has total administration over 468 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sukher has 370 children, 198 boys and 172 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 240 (10.15%) males constitute 127 (5.37%) of the population and females 113 (4.78%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 669 (28.30%) males constitute 334 (14.13%) of the population and females 335 (14.17%).

The workforce is 662 male, 190 female with 836 (98.12%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 658 males and 178 females. 107 males and 43 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 16 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
