Sultana is a small village of 11470 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sultana depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sultana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Sultana's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02022500. The area of Sultana is segregated as 6400 hectares irrigated area, 2000 hectares unirrigated, the 1070 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell blanket and make their living.
