Sultana is a small village of 11470 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sultana depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sultana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Sultana's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02022500. The area of Sultana is segregated as 6400 hectares irrigated area, 2000 hectares unirrigated, the 1070 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).
Sultana has One post office (Sultana B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Sultana has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sultana is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1727 and has total administration over 317 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Sultana has 365 children, 188 boys and 177 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 247 (14.30%) males constitute 125 (7.24%) of the population and females 122 (7.06%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 91 (5.27%) males constitute 54 (3.13%) of the population and females 37 (2.14%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 869 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 496 male, 373 female with 524 (60.3%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 411 males and 113 females. 231 males and 29 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 6 male and 11 female agricultural labor. 345 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell blanket and make their living.
