Surani is a small village of 1291 hectares in Sri Madhopur Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surani depends on Sri Madhopur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 104.20% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Surani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Surani's pin code is 332707[4], and village code is 01739100. The area of Surani is segregated as 129.35 hectares irrigated area, 908.58 hectares unirrigated, the 108.35 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 145 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Surani is a census village in the district of Sikar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2593 and has total administration over 494 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 560 male, 283 female with 619 (73.43%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 489 males and 130 females. 250 males and 93 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 17 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 224 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sri Madhopur and Sikar to sell ghee and make their living.
