Surgati is a small village of 336 hectares in Mandal Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surgati depends on Deogarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 17.70% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Surgati is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Surgati's pin code is 311803[4], and village code is 02839600. The area of Surgati is segregated as 28 hectares irrigated area, 9.39 hectares unirrigated, the 70.35 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 170.12 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Surgati has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Surgati is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 587 and has total administration over 126 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Surgati has 94 children, 45 boys and 49 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 14 (2.39%) males constitute 7 (1.19%) of the population and females 7 (1.19%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 158 (26.92%) males constitute 74 (12.61%) of the population and females 84 (14.31%).

The workforce is 153 male, 203 female with 257 (72.19%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 138 males and 119 females. 76 males and 15 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 53 male and 99 female agricultural labor. 99 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Deogarh and Bhilwara to sell ghee and make their living.
