Takarda is a small village of 471 hectares in Rawatbhata Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Takarda depends on Singoli (M.P.), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Takarda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Takarda's pin code is 323304[4], and village code is 03571800. The area of Takarda is segregated as 125.73 hectares irrigated area, 47.85 hectares unirrigated, the 276.6 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 20.65 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Takarda has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Takarda is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1080 and has total administration over 209 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Takarda has 146 children, 65 boys and 81 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 114 (10.56%) males constitute 57 (5.28%) of the population and females 57 (5.28%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 36 (3.33%) males constitute 21 (1.94%) of the population and females 15 (1.39%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Singoli (M.P.) and Chittorgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
