Takkar is a 2020 Indian Kannada Romantic, Action film written, directed by Raghu Shastry and produced by Nagesh Kogilu. The film stars Chellenging Star Darshan nephew Manoj Kumar,[1] Ranjani Raghavan[2] in the lead roles. The score and soundtrack for the film is composed by Manikanth Kadri and the cinematography is by William David. [3][4] Challenging Star Darshan released the audio & teaser of the movie which got good response [5]
The film revolves arround sathuyki is a man of words who helps people solve their issues by hook or crook. Once, while doing so, he gets caught by his own father, who is a police inspector.[6] Meanwhile, he falls in love with an MBBS student named punya, and they end up settling together, until a day comes where Sathuyki starts revealing his true colours. [7][8][9]
Manikanth started out his career by composing for jingles and devotional albums. He also composed for a title track of a Malayalam tele-serial Annu Mazhayayirunnu and won the Kerala State Award for best music.[11] He released his first instrumental album called Dream Journey in the year 2001 and also tasted success. He also scored for background for an English feature film Tantric Journal. His film musical career began with Smart City (Malayalam) and Mr. Garagasa (Kannada), at the age of 24. After these films, his major breakthrough happened with the Kannada film Savari in 2009. He has scored music for various films in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tulu and Tamil languages.[12]
