Talwara is a small village of 2143 hectares in Banswara Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Talwara depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Talwara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Talwara's pin code is 327025[4], and village code is 03425400. The area of Talwara is segregated as 849 hectares irrigated area, 238 hectares unirrigated, the 405 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 335 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Talwara has One post office (Talwara S.O) and Twenty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Talwara has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Talwara is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 12215 and has total administration over 2418 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Talwara has 1780 children, 930 boys and 850 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 385 (3.15%) males constitute 199 (1.63%) of the population and females 186 (1.52%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 6912 (56.59%) males constitute 3481 (28.50%) of the population and females 3431 (28.09%).

The workforce is 3381 male, 2302 female with 2794 (49.16%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 2407 males and 387 females. 871 males and 50 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 79 male and 32 female agricultural labor. 2889 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
