Tanda is a small village of 119 hectares in Kapasan Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tanda depends on Kapasan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 11.99% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tanda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tanda's pin code is 312204[4], and village code is 03627000. The area of Tanda is segregated as 11.99 hectares irrigated area, 62.62 hectares unirrigated, the 29.46 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 14.86 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tanda has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Tanda has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Tanda is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 387 and has total administration over 95 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Tanda has 55 children, 30 boys and 25 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 106 (27.39%) males constitute 58 (14.99%) of the population and females 48 (12.40%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 87 (22.48%) males constitute 41 (10.59%) of the population and females 46 (11.89%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kapasan and Chittorgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
