Tank is a small village of 719 hectares in Vallabhnagar Tehsil in Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tank depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 26.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Tank is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tank's pin code is 313022[4], and village code is 03176700. The area of Tank is segregated as 31 hectares irrigated area, 45 hectares unirrigated, the 183 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 460 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Tank has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Tank is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1675 and has total administration over 361 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 63 (3.76%) males constitute 28 (1.67%) of the population and females 35 (2.09%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1206 (72.0%) males constitute 623 (37.19%) of the population and females 583 (34.81%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
