Tasai is a small village of 1741 hectares in Kathumar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tasai depends on NAGAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tasai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tasai's pin code is 321605[4], and village code is 00940900. The area of Tasai is segregated as 1071 hectares irrigated area, 566 hectares unirrigated, the 2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 102 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tasai has One post office (Tasai B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Tasai has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Tasai is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 8568 and has total administration over 1420 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Tasai has 1531 children, 839 boys and 692 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 466 (5.44%) males constitute 247 (2.88%) of the population and females 219 (2.56%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 69 (0.81%) males constitute 33 (0.39%) of the population and females 36 (0.42%).

The workforce is 2109 male, 1323 female with 1868 (54.43%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1617 males and 251 females. 969 males and 153 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 219 male and 36 female agricultural labor. 1564 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of NAGAR and Alwar to sell brick making and make their living.
