Taseeng is a small village of 491 hectares in Behror Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Taseeng depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 85.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Taseeng is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Taseeng's pin code is 301701[4], and village code is 00769300. The area of Taseeng is segregated as 85 hectares irrigated area, 271.53 hectares unirrigated, remaining 127 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Taseeng has One post office (Tasing B.O) and Four public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Taseeng has One bank and One credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Taseeng is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2708 and has total administration over 506 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Taseeng has 350 children, 190 boys and 160 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 781 (28.84%) males constitute 419 (15.47%) of the population and females 362 (13.37%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 14 (0.52%) males constitute 5 (0.18%) of the population and females 9 (0.33%).

The workforce is 742 male, 435 female with 961 (81.65%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 654 males and 307 females. 299 males and 223 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 24 male and 37 female agricultural labor. 216 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BEHROR and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
