Tejpura is a small village of 188 hectares in Mandawar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tejpura depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tejpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tejpura's pin code is 301412[4], and village code is 00782400. The area of Tejpura is segregated as 68 hectares irrigated area, 72 hectares unirrigated, the 34 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 14 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tejpura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Tejpura is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 847 and has total administration over 102 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Tejpura has 162 children, 89 boys and 73 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 326 (38.49%) males constitute 154 (18.18%) of the population and females 172 (20.31%).

The workforce is 227 male, 153 female with 342 (90.0%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 223 males and 119 females. 172 males and 10 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 39 male and 48 female agricultural labor. 38 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BEHROR and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
