Television presenters (also known as television hosts, and in certain cases, "television personalities") are those who introduce or host television shows, frequently acting as a liaison between the programme and the audience. They are sometimes known as "television personalities." Nowadays, it is usual for individuals who have achieved popularity in other areas to take on this position; nevertheless, some people who have achieved fame exclusively in the field of presenting—such as children's television shows or infomercials—have gone on to become television celebrities as a result of their work.
