Temran is a small village of 405 hectares in Bagidora Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Temran depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Temran is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Temran's pin code is 327031[4], and village code is 03467700. The area of Temran is segregated as 12 hectares irrigated area, 145 hectares unirrigated, the 52 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 28.46 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Temran has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Temran is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1397 and has total administration over 226 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Temran has 223 children, 119 boys and 104 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1393 (99.71%) males constitute 700 (50.11%) of the population and females 693 (49.61%).

Employment[edit]

According to a census 2011 report, 824 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 445 male, 379 female with 554 (67.23%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 313 males and 241 females. 276 males and 188 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 24 male and 38 female agricultural labor. 270 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
