Thana is a small village of 334 hectares in Rajgarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Thana depends on RAJGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 101.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Thana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Thana's pin code is 301408[4], and village code is 00903100. The area of Thana is segregated as 135 hectares irrigated area, 45 hectares unirrigated, the 27 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 30 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Thana is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4497 and has total administration over 757 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 710 (15.79%) males constitute 354 (7.87%) of the population and females 356 (7.92%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1932 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1182 male, 750 female with 1547 (80.07%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1036 males and 511 females. 288 males and 418 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 46 male and 20 female agricultural labor. 385 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of RAJGARH and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
