Thata is a small village of 1429 hectares in Degana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Thata depends on Goredi Chancha, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 101.85% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Thata is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Thata's pin code is 341515[4], and village code is 01863700. The area of Thata is segregated as 101.85 hectares irrigated area, 928 hectares unirrigated, the 119.95 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 279 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Thata is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1667 and has total administration over 382 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 480 male, 366 female with 154 (18.2%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 128 males and 26 females. 76 males and 20 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 9 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 692 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Goredi Chancha and Nagaur to sell earthen pots and make their living.
