Thorasi is a small village of 655 hectares in Sikar Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Thorasi depends on Sikar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 320.05% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Thorasi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Thorasi's pin code is 332315[4], and village code is 01687900. The area of Thorasi is segregated as 320.05 hectares irrigated area, 205.8 hectares unirrigated, the 75.46 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 53.3 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Thorasi has Twenty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Thorasi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Thorasi is a census village in the district of Sikar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1675 and has total administration over 284 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Thorasi has 218 children, 112 boys and 106 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 298 (17.79%) males constitute 139 (8.30%) of the population and females 159 (9.49%).

The workforce is 558 male, 523 female with 497 (45.98%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 380 males and 117 females. 242 males and 81 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 41 male and 19 female agricultural labor. 584 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sikar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
